Athena Holmes
Singer, songwriter Athena Holmes grew up in Victoria B.C. where she accessed and developed a love for many styles of music. From an early age it was apparent Athena had adopted her father’s love of entertainment and her mothers strong will. It wasn’t until 2003 that Athena picked up the guitar and began songwriting, a process that would prove to be a creative outlet. Influenced by blues, rock n’ roll, folk and jazz, Athena’s songs represent her strong opinions, with honest lyricism and delivered by a beautiful voice. Athena Holmes is a natural born performer with a passion for the classics. Athena has been broadcast over the radio waves of CKUT (McGill University). She has worked with Canadian musicians such as Paul Wainwright of The Big Band Trio, and co-founded the Victoria rock band, 'The Southern Chakras'. Athena is currently living and working in Montreal, Q.C.
