It's been almost five years in the making but FINALLY St. John Newfoundland's THE IDLERS are going to make the mammouth trek from Canada's far east to far west - one Island to another...
The Idlers are an eleven-piece reggae circus from St. John's, Newfoundland. Their unique sound comes from a love for reggae, ska, and afro-beat, peppered with a little Celtic. Ringmaster Mark Wilson fronts a solid rhythm section, and heavy horns, bringing audiences to frenzy since they began in April 2006.

From Victoria we have The Novamatics who are one of the tightest ska bands to come out of Victoria in quite some time. The band has a full horn section and plays solid ska/rocksteady/reggae/jazz tunes. With a full horn section and solid rhythm section you'll be hard pressed not to dance.

And finally Banana Fish Orchestra are one of the freshest bands to come outta Nanaimo right now. Their fusion of Latin, jazz, reggae funk will blend perfectly into this night (Ska, Celtic, reggae, jazz, funk and more). Overall this show is chuck full of music and is guaranteed to be insanely good! Make sure to purchase tickets as soon as they go on sale!
