Victoria BC Ska Society is proud to present Clinton Fearon that is not only family to the Society and our community but also a reggae legend. It has been a minute since we've had Clinton Fearon perform. The last time was at Victoria's 16th Annual Ska & Reggae Festival at the Victoria Event Centre with Kristie McCracken.

This time Clinton Fearon will be playing an acoustic set alongside Marafani World Beat that played at last year's Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival on the closing day of the festival at Ship Point Inner Harbour.

This is scheduled to be the last presentation we do before Victoria's 18th Annual Ska & Reggae Festival. To mark this occasion we will be having an "On the Road to Ska & Reggae Fest Early Birdie Sale"

If you purchase your tickets before March 31, 2017 you can get it for $14.50 instead of the regular advance price of $16.50.

On-line tickets available now on ticketweb.ca. Hard copy tickets will go on sale on or before March 28, 2017 at Lyle's Place, Jupiter & Vinyl Envy in Victoria.

Clinton Fearon is a Seattle-via-Jamaica-based singer-songwriter who has earned his place as one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier practitioners of soulful reggae. Fearon, originally cut his teeth as a bass player, vocalist, and lyricist for legendary Jamaican roots-reggae group, The Gladiators. He was also a sought-after session player during this period of his career, cutting smooth basslines with top producers like Lee “Scratch” Perry & Coxsone Dodd. Fearon left the Gladiators and moved to the USA in 1987. He has performed and toured regularly since, both acoustically and with his “Boogie Brown Band.” “I write from my heart,” says the man himself. “My music is good for the soul - always with a message of hope and betterment for tomorrow. It's good for dancing, good for listening and I think it's good for all.”
