Album Review: The Drastics - Waiting

The Drastics are an amazing band to see live! While as a live band they usually count on improvisation to really nail the live experience, this album stands up to their live performance, if not makes it stronger. This sure isn't a record to play when you are looking for an energy buzz. This is slow as molasses dub/reggae with influence including hip-hop, East-African, and jazz. This record might not be for everyone, but for those of you who are into dub, this is a record that you will not be sad about. This record contains all live instruments and/or samples. None of that over-produced cut and edit dub here, this is the good stuff. You want music that makes life slow slow and easy? Check it out!
