Jus Goodie

Born Justin Goodman on May 12th 1979, Justin ‘Jus Goodie’ Goodman is a new young talent on the horizon. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in a musical home, Goodie says, “I was singing when I was still in my mama’s belly”.

With his musical upbringing, Goodie naturally became a ‘player of instrument’. He is a wicked rhythm and lead guitarist and a producer, writing music for his own album - Freedom Song, and contributing to Rocker T’s latest album, “Hold on Strong”. Jus Goodie regularly tours as guitarist and backup vocalist for Rocker T, and serves as his opening act.

After a life-changing trip to Jamaica at age 14, Goodie’s music evolved into a spiritual journey of truth and liberation. Still rooted in the foundation of classic roots sounds, Goodie has taken all of his musical and life experiences and created his own style. These days Jus Goodie is spending time in Oracabessa, Jamaica building a studio and teaching music. Upon the completion of Zionway Studios in Colorado and Nix Nax studios in JA, the seed will have been planted for a new generation of music stretching beyond the confines of one style. Goodie has shared the stage with many of today’s biggest names in Reggae including Luciano, Damion Jr Gong and Burning Spear, to name a few.
