Nostic & Nicki
Nostic & Nicki’s live performance is a mixture of Hip-Hop, House, Latin & World Music combined with groundbreaking rhythms, conscious lyrics, and unique freestyle dancing, based in Victoria BC. The set often features live instruments including: harmonica, drumming, pan flute and other ancient Andean instruments and live looping, mixing original music.
Nostic was raised in both Canada and Peru; he is a diversely talented artist sharing his gifts as a multilingual rapper, singer, beatboxer, and producer, playing many traditional instruments. Nicki Pepper J, from Victoria, BC, is a professional dancer, Instructor, DJ, and Producer, embodying the movement of many dance styles combing Shuffling, Footwork, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Belly Dancing & Salsa in freestyle.
Nostic & Nicki hold space for celebration through creative expression. Their intention is to create awareness through through freedom of expression while fusing cultures of music and movement.
Nostic has performed at various festivals through BC and California including Shambhala, Vancouver Pride, San Diego Pride, Cultivate Festival, 5 Acre Shaker and many venues throughout Victoria and Vancouver. Nostic has also toured through Eastern Europe and with Dub FX throughout BC. Nostic has opened for acts such as: Macklemore, The Bug and Magna Beats, AC Slater, What's So Not, Toots and the Maytals, Fishbone, and more.
