Come out and enjoy the final On the Road to Victoria's 5th Anniversary Ska Festival show on Saturday, June 5th/2004 @ the Victoria Multicultural Centre with Montreal's ska sensations THE KINGPINS. THE HOODWINKS will open and do a nice long set! J-Roys Selector Soundsystem will have the honour of filling the room with sweet soul, old school ska and R&B tunes in between sets.
Many of you may remember that the Kingpins were a major headliner at last years Victorias 4th Annual Ska Festival at the Victoria Curling Club. They played right before the Slackers and got rave reviews from the 900 some odd people in attendance.
The Hoodwinks have been main staples in Vancouvers punk, indie rock, reggae and ska scenes for quite some time. Thats right. They do it all! The Hoodwinks have also played at Victorias Annual Ska Festival many times and have just recently been chosen to back Jamaican ska/reggae legend and Trojan Recording Artist STRANGEJAH COLE at Victorias 5th Anniversary Ska Festival Grande Finale Concert at the Victoria Curling Club on Saturday, July 17th/2004.
Tickets are $12 when purchased in advance @ Lyle's Place, A&B Sound and Ditch Records.
General Admission/Beverage Garden w/ID.
Doors: 8:30pm
Don't miss these rare appearances by these two awesome bands at one of the most beautiful halls in town.
See ya there!
