There's no better way to spend your Saturday than to bring down the family to our free and friendly afternoon show. Featuring The Skinny from Montreal and Seattle's Georgetown Orbits, this is a perfect show for those who love ska to those who are just finding out about it.
The Skinny
- The Skinny are one of the many new bands to emerge from Montreal’s booming ska and reggae scene. They carry a sound that pleases both new and old fans of reggae alike. Their sound blends with classic soul and pop. If you’re a fan of other Montreal ska groups like The Fundamentals or Stepper, The Skinny are ready to deliver a musical prescription that will get you feeling fine and dancing all night long.
Georgetown Orbits
- The Georgetown Orbits have been a festival favourite for a number of years, and we’re excited to bring them back! They’ve been representing the Pacific Northwest for 10 years, playing and paying tribute to the original upbeat sounds of Jamaican ska. They’ve had the pleasure to perform with such legendary ska names such as The Skatalites, Bad Manners, The English Beat, Lynval Golding, and many more. Dress to impress, because these guys will have everyone hitting the dance floor.
The Victoria Ska Festival tries hard to cater to families and teens by offering free outdoor events throughout our festival.
