The Voyce - Live 2006
Filmed January 29, 2006 at Central Bar & Grill in Victoria, BC.
One of the best Victoria bands to ever grace the stages on Vancouver Island, The Voyce was a dynamic R&B band with a distinctive blues-rock edge. Inception of the band was kindled through discussions between Joyce "The Voice" Allensen and Phil "Boz Roz" Rossner. They subsequently managed to link up with two great musicians, who formed the amazing rhythm section - Gord Grand on bass and Queen City Kids drummer Jeff Germain. It was decided to name the band The Voyce in recognition of Joyce's nickname "The Voice," but changing the "i" to a "y". This all came together long before the TV show "The Voice" hit the airwaves. The band worked steadily from 2005 through to the end of 2006, playing gigs and festivals around Vancouver Island, before disbanding.
