Festival Postponed

Based on recent briefings by our provincial Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and the federal government, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to postpone Victoria's 21st Annual Ska & Reggae Festival scheduled to take place from June 30 - July 5, 2020. The festival will be rescheduled to take place in the summer of 2021 (dates to be announced in months to come).

Anyone that purchased Full Fest or VIP Full Fest Passes for this year's festival will have the option to keep their festival pass which will be honoured for 2021 or get a full refund at the point of purchase.

All bands that were confirmed for the festival at the time we had to stop planning for it are welcomed to play in 2021.

Despite the fact we will be taking a forced break this year, we still plan to provide programming to our festival family to the greatest extent of what public health measures will allow for the duration of 2020. We hope that may include programming beyond digital presentation depending on said restrictions in the coming months.

While we are sad that we cannot host the festival this year, we have a rich regional and international community to keep connected. We plan to use this opportunity to create programming that will still be exciting and engaging to our audience in a different way.

We encourage you all to be involved and continue to support us in this journey we are all living in together.

With love from all of us at Victoria BC Ska & Reggae Society.
