Since 1995 Ozomatli have been spreading their sounds of freedom and joy infused with various Latin American rhythms, hip hop, reggae, funk and everything in between.
Their last appearance in BC was at Victoria's 19th Annual Ska & Reggae Festival performing alongside long time band mate Chali 2na and Jamaican reggae legend Freddie McGregor.
In Vancouver Ozomatli will be playing at The Rickshaw Theatre on Thursday, January 31st with special guests Salsadancehall Collective and DJ SuCommandante Espinoza.
Salsadancehall Collective is fronted by the International recording artist Tugstar (Clarendon Jamaica). Tugstar is supported by reggaetón artist C'nez and Spanish soul singer Tiago. Backed up by some of Vancouver’s best Latin musicians, The SalsaHall Collective features musicians from Mazacote, Wasakaka, Tanga, Kutapira, and many more great Latin and world groups.
Tickets on sale Friday, November 2, 2018 on ticketweb.ca. Hard copies available at Highlife Records, Red Cat Records (both locations on Main Street and East Hastings), Zulu Records & Beat Street Records.
