One of South America’s most iconic and legendary reggae bands, GONDWANA, returns to Victoria for the first time in over four years! Victoria Ska & Reggae Society is proud to welcome back these reggae titans as they look to once again set Upstairs Cabaret on fire with their incendiary energy and grooves. Perhaps the most famous Chilean band in the word, Gondwana has amassed platinum records, sold-out tours around the world and an ever-increasing online fan base with millions of YouTube views (130 million+) and Spotify plays (20+ million) . A true band of the people, Gondwana has amassed this without the backing of a major label or big-name producers, building their reggae empire with just their immense talents and passion. The last time Gondwana played Victoria they packed Upstairs Cabaret and played an unforgettable set that echoed in the city for weeks, and with four years of energy pent up, this visit is looking to be even more explosive and engaging.

Joining Gondwana for their return to Victoria is roots reggae artist E.N Young. Born and raised near the US/Mexico border in San Deigo, CA, E.N Young is a multi-instrumentalist, song-writer and producer, building an impressive repertoire of conscious roots reggae music. A former member of big time reggae outfit Tribal Seeds, E.N has built a reputation as one of the most consistent reggae acts on the west coast and we are excited to welcome him to Victoria!

Don’t miss this first big stop as we start down on the Road to Ska & Reggae Fest!
